Jardim da Estrela is a public garden with 4.6 ha. Has several entrances but the main ones are in the end of Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral and the ones that lead to Largo da Estrela (Basílica da Estrela). Has two kids' playgrounds (one of them has sand) , a restaurant, a "quiosque" with a terrace, an iron bandstand (1884), a lake and some residents - mallards, swans, geese and peacocks. Doesn't have a picnic area but there's enough grass for picnics.

kids playground in Jardim Teófilo Braga (also known as Jardim da Parada and Jardim de Campo de Ourique)

Jardim da Parada is a public garden with 0.4 ha really good for children and parents. Has a "quiosque" with a terrace, bandstand and public bathrooms. Nearby you can find several restaurantes and "cafés" to snack or have lunch and do some shopping. This garden has two lakes and a kids' playground.

Jardim do Príncipe Real is located in a charming neighborhood in Lisbon where you can find a kids playground although it's often crowded. Jardim do Príncipe Real has several "quiosques" and a restaurant with terrace.

kids playground in Parque José Gomes Ferreira (also known as Mata de Alvalade)

Looking for space and silence? Go to Parque José Gomes Ferreira (10 ha), an excelent place to relax in Lisbon with a densely wooded area and a lot of native vegetation. Has two picnic areas with tables and drinking fountains.

There're two entrances: one in Alvalade (Rua Alferes Malheiro 1) and other in Av. Almirante Gago Coutinho (near Rotunda do Relógio). The most direct access to the kids playground is from Av. Almirante Gago Coutinho. Right next to the playground you'll find a "quiosque" called Esplanada da Mata with music, eating & drinking.

kids playground in Parque Moinhos de Santana

A little secret in Lisbon for kids. A secret spot that you can't miss. If you're going with babies don't forget a baby carrier - it will simplify your visit to Parque Moinhos de Santana. Don't have a baby carrier? Don't worry. You can take a stroller also - there are good paths for it - but be prepared for the slopes.

Parque Moinhos de Santana is a cool park in Ajuda/Lisbon (1.5km from Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and 600m from Jardim Botânico D'Ajuda & Estufa Real). Has a lot of space, a lot of grass and a pond with ducks. The cafetaria/restaurant is open as well as mini-golf (need to get the necessary gear).

You'll find a picnic area, skate park, skating rink and playground. Don't forget to visit the beautiful windmills and enjoy the viewpoint.

Parque Recreativo do Alto da Serafina
(also known as Parque dos Índios)

Be ready to spend a whole day in here. A very popular (and public) playground with 5.6 ha in the middle of the Monsanto Forest Park with a multiplicity of activities - has activities for babies and toddlers and also for the grown ups (from 6 to to 12 years old). Here you'll find a big lake, a picnic area, a circuit with crosswalks, traffic lights and traffic signs (need to rent a bike, roller blanding or scooters? talk to us), a labyrinth, several Indian tents and playgrounds for different ages. Don't miss the viewpoint with a privileged view over the city.

Hello Park

A paid park for kids from 4 to 9 years to spend a whole morning or afternoon to play, jump and have fun. Is all fenced and is supervised by experienced team of monitors. Is a wide place full of activities:

• karts / pedal carts
• stringe spider

Also comfortable for parents - has a comfortable outdoor area and also a terrace with a cafeteria called "Casa Verde".

It's open from tuesday to sunday from 9:00 am to 07:00 pm. Prices: 9.00€ per hour per children.
