What about today? What can I do with kids in Cascais?
Most of the time, we have a lot of ideas but when we pull through our imagination it becomes difficult to choose the best programs to do as family.
To get away from technology and the traditional spots in Cascais, we bring you here some cool activities to do with kids in the modern and historic village of Cascais and surroundings.
1. More adventurous kids.
Surf lessons, a good ideia for free time.
These two beaches are really close to Lisbon that allow you to surf almost the entire year: Guincho beach and Carcavelos beach. There you can find several models of classes. A tip: mom or dad can share this experience and also try a surf lesson!

A bike ride along the coast, or even a walking tour. Need a stroller or a baby carrier? Contact us.
Start your tour by visiting the Marechal Carmona Park. You can stay there for half an hour or for 4 hours: 2 kids playground, tables for picnic, traditional games area, lots of grass to play, bar/restaurant and many paths to explore.
If you exit Parque Marechal Carmona through the gate closest to the sea, you'll immediately find the entrance to the Marina where you can find good restaurants. Then enjoy the old Cidadela de Cascais - discover the narrow and old streets with shops and don't forget by Santini... "the paradise of artisanal ice creams". You'll see you won't regret. Oh, and don't miss the carousel in Jardim Visconde da Luz.
About 2.5 km from this area, you'll find Casa da Guia, a space with restaurants and kiosks, shopping and services. One km away you'll find some great hot dogs. You can rent a bike, walk around and see the sights. It's a special place not to be missed, with or without children. If you have time, take the spetacular route N247 to Guincho.
Have fun with the kids in Cascais!
Love,
Vera
