Good to know
- certification standard: ECE R44/04 (older regulation, still valid for existing use where permitted)
- finding the right fit: choosing a group 0+/1/2 car seat for older children can be tricky, as R44 seats are based on weight rather than height. these seats are generally suitable up to around 4 years old, depending on the child’s build (using the harness up to 18 kg, then the vehicle’s seat belt from 15-25 kg). if your child is approaching this weight limit and is tall for their age, we strongly recommend choosing an R129 car seat instead
- if your child weighs more than 18 kg and you want the child to travel forward-facing, you must use this seat without the harness. please let us know in advance so we can prepare the seat before delivery
